An alumnus of the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Corky founded our firm in 1984 as Corky Poster Architect. Over the last forty-five years he has received wide acclaim for his grass roots urban design, community based architecture, and for pioneering an integrated approach to historic preservation planning. He is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of the University of Arizona College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture, former Director of the Drachman Institute, and former Acting Dean of UA CAPLA. Corky is both a Registered Architect and certified AICP Planner. Corky has volunteered in our community in countless ways, most recently with the Living Streets Alliance, the grass-roots Flowers & Bullets Collective, and the Dunbar Coalition.

Jon joined Poster Frost Associates in 1997 and has been a partner since 2005. He has been the Project Architect for many of our firms most significant and challenging projects. He is a passionate designer with a hands-on and detail oriented approach, seeking solutions that are regional, modern, and responsive to the environment. Jon has especially deep experience in Historic Preservation and has been the Commission Architect for the Tucson Pima County Historical Commission for two terms. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona and is licensed in Arizona and New Mexico.

Savannah is a Tucson native and graduate of the University of Arizona. Since joining Poster Frost Mirto in 2007, she has grown from an enthusiastic graduate to a skilled project manager and a thoughtful firm leader. She has been a firm partner since 2017. She combines design sensitivity, exceptional communication, graphic abilities, and technical knowledge. As Project Architect, she has managed many significant projects from programming and design through construction, marshaling the firm’s resources, and organizing the team’s effort. As adjunct lecturer at CAPLA and non-profit board member, Savannah brings a mentorship and community service mindset that is at home in our firm culture.

Charles blends project management expertise with a passion for technical detail. He is PFM’s resident sustainability expert, and has spearheaded the LEED process on several high-profile projects. Charles has successfully managed large-scale, fast-track design-build projects, and understands the rewards and challenges associated with this emergent delivery method. Away from the office, Charles spends as much time in his workshop crafting furniture, hardware, and strange machines. Charles is a native Tucsonan and graduate of the University of Arizona College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture.

An Arizona transplant, Liz grew up in the Midwest and received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Houston. She joined Poster Frost Mirto in 2016. Liz enjoys employing a collaborative team approach to developing solutions that respond to the specific demands of each project, with a particular interest in the environmental responsibility of those solutions. Liz has been a registered architect in the state of Arizona since 2008, is a LEED Accredited Professional, and has served as a director on the board of the local AIA chapter and as an editor of AIA Arizona’s professional journal.

Zoe earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Portland State University in 2016, Master of Architecture from University of Arizona CAPLA in 2021 and became a registered architect in the state of Arizona in 2022. Her experience in the profession ranges in project type, scale, and delivery method. She is passionate about projects that support the lives of the community members they serve and employ thoughtful design solutions centered around the unique needs of the users, site, and context. She believes good design can evoke a sense of place, connection and excitement.

Drew holds two degrees from the University of Arizona, a B.S. in Urban and Regional Development and a Masters of Architecture, and has been with PMM since his graduation in 2016. Drew supports our work and enriches our culture with an intellectual curiosity and a hands-on knowledge of construction craft and materials. His passions include sustainable development, energy and water conservation, and historic resource stewardship. A native Tucsonan, Drew has deep ties and is active throughout our community. He currently serves on the Board of the Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation.

Valeria joined Poster Mirto McDonald in 2018 after graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in 2017; she assists the team complete thorough projects with her computer and design skills. Her interest in architecture grew from her passion for place, people and creating a positive influence towards the environment and users. She understands the impact that design holds so she applies conscious decisions and is interested in the history and culture of each place to deliver a mindful plan.

She joined Poster Mirto McDonald in 2018, and enjoys designing with careful attention to site conditions, and with the community in mind. She assists the team with her computer, graphic, and visualization skills. Her passion for architecture stems from wanting to create a sense of place and understanding of how others shape and inhabit spaces, realizing the social responsibility that designers have to the built environment. She currently serves on the Board of Patronato San Xavier Mission.

Ida has been a member of the Poster Mirto McDonald family since 1999 and is the longest tenured member of our staff. She knows our clients, consultants, and project histories and provides reliable support to our principals and staff in many areas. She assists with marketing, specifications, construction administration, and general office management. She is responsible for the organization and management of our filing systems. Ida brings dedication and good nature to all that she does for us.
